Cleveland Abduction - In Cleveland Ohio, Ariel Castro held three young girls (Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry, and Gina DeJesus) captive from as early as 2002 until May of 2013..  When Amanda Berry escaped with her six year old daughter who was born in captivity and alerted police who rescued the other young women.. Castro was plead guilty and was sentenced but committed suicide one month into his sentence by hanging himself in his cell..   

Cleveland Abduction is a 2015 TV crime drama based on the Ariel Castro kidnappings and the memoir by Michelle Knight "Finding Me: A Decade of Darkness, A Life Reclaimed.. "


Believe Me The Abduction of Lisa McVey - The story of 17 yr old Lisa McVey who was kidnapped while riding her bike home from working a double shift.. on November 3rd 1984.. after being held captive .. she wins over her attacker and is released.. after first her story was not believed.. but after finding the right detective.. she help them find him as he is the serial killer they have been looking for..


Abducted The Carlina White Story - The film is the true story of an infant who was abducted by Ann Pettway from a NY hospital .. Carlina solved her own kidnapping story and was reunited with her parents 23 yrs later..


Little Girl Lost - is the story of the struggle of Luz Cuevas to find her baby daughter Delimar Vera Cuevas who disappeared in 1997 after their house caught fire during a party.. just ten days after she was born.. The police reports claimed Delimar was killed in the fire.. however Cuevas suspected that she was kidnapped and that the fire was staged by outsider..  


Taken From Me The Tiffany Rubin Story  - is the story of the events surrounding the kidnapping and rescue of the son of Tiffany Rubin (Taraji P. Henson) who was kidnapped by his father and taken to South Korea..

Another movie worth watching ...   is the true story of Jaycee Dugard who was kidnapped in June of 1991 and she was 11 years old.. Dugard remain captive until August 2009.. Dugard was held captive until she was 29 years old by Phillip Garrido and his wife Nancy Garrido.. and during her captivity she bore 2 daughters by Garrido.. Jaycee Dugard documented her life in captivity in a book, A Stolen Life: A Memoir, later Dugard wrote a second book Freedom: My Book of First

New Movies ..


Yesterday 2019 - is a British romantic comedy film that stars Himesh Patel as Jack Malik a struggling singer songwriter who after a freak accident and a mysterious blackout finds that he is the only person who remembers the BEATLES..  he then takes credit for writing and performing their songs.. and rockets to fame becoming a mega star with the help of Ed Sheeran and agent..

I enjoyed the film ..and found the story charming that how during a single event people everywhere have forgotten things such as Coke, Cigarettes and the BEATLES..  Although the film attempts to follow the latest trend of music legend films.. such as Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman.. it sadly misses the mark.. yet I found it funny, intriguing and entertaining to watch..



John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum 2019  - is a neo-noir action film and another installment to the John Wick Franchise.. starring Keanu Reeves.. with an outstanding cast that includes Halle Berry, Laurence Fishburne, Anjelica Huston .. I loved it.. pure and simply it is jam packed with outstanding action from start to finish.. In the film hitman John Wick is on the run from a swarm of assassins looking to cash in on the price on his head.. however those that helped him along the way unfortunately were punished as well.. for doing so.. however this film will most definitely not be the last we have heard from John Wick..  Sofia (Halle Berry) was really amazing and the dogs she had were exceptional.. Loved it.. Definitely a must see for all John Wick fans ..



Stuber 2019 - is a action comedy film starring Kumail Nanjiani and Dave Bautista.. The film follows an ordinary Uber driver named Stu (Nanjiani) who unwillingly becomes part of a police officer's arrest operation.. when he picks up (Bautista) and is taken on a roller coaster ride in order to assist the cop on the trail of a killer..  while desperately trying to hold on to his wits and his excellent Uber rating.. The movie is not as hysterical as it definitely could have been.... and it received mixed reviews.. but you be the judge and let me know what you think ....

Comedy Films..


Always Be My Maybe 2019 - is a romantic comedy film written by Ali Wong, Randall Park and Michael Golamco.. and stars Ali Wong and Randall Park as childhood friends from San Francisco .. who have really not been in touch since his mother passed and they had a brief teenage fling.. In the film it is now 16 years later and Sasha (Wong) is now a celebrity chef while Marcus (Park) is still living at home with his father, smoking pot and playing in his neighborhood band.. after reconnecting when Sasha returns to San Francisco to open a restaurant the romantic chemistry from their teens.. reignites.. but Marcus's lack of ability to let loose of the past and Sasha's fame and demanding career put a strain on their relationship.. This is truly a funny charming film.. that will surely make you smile.. LOVED IT..


Murder Mystery 2019  - is a mystery comedy film.. starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston..and follows a married couple who find themselves caught up in a murder investigation on a billionaire's yacht..

Nick Spitz (Sandler) is a NY policeman and his wife Audrey (Aniston) is a hairdresser.. Audrey has always wanted to visit Europe .. and after their 15th anniversary Nick states that they are finally going to Europe... On the plane Audrey meets billionaire Charles Cavendish who invites them to join him on his family yacht for a party celebrating his elderly uncle's upcoming wedding ..however things soon become a "who dun it" mystery when a murder takes place and the Spitz family is pegged for the culprits..  The film met with mixed reviews.. and I must confess I might have passed on this film if it wasn't for the Aniston and Sandler.. Let me know what you think?

New Kids Movies.. 

Toy Story 4 2019  - is a computer animated comedy and Disney's 4th installment in the Toy Story Franchise.. and stars a outstanding ensemble of voices including that of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Annie Potts, Keegan Michael Key, Jordan Peele, Keanu Reeves and many others..  In this installment Woody and his friends have to come to grips that it is time for them to move on to another child that needs them.. it is just apart of being a toy.. and the group have to help a newly formed toy "Forky" deal with his crisis in how he came to be.. loved the film.. good seeing the old gang.. and I just know we will surely see more of them in the future.. a definite must see ..

Game Shows

You know "Game Shows" have literally been a TV staple for as long as I can remember.. I remember watching "Game Shows" when I was a kid especially when I stayed home sick .. after all everyone wants to live the dream that they can go on a show like Jeopardy and win a large amount of money..

and some of my favorite game shows have definitely withstood the test of time..

Who wants to be a Millionaire..
Lets make a Deal..

and there have been so many good game shows over the years..

Now some of our favorites have even made it to Prime Time..

Match Game.. Love it.. host Alec Baldwin is hilarious
To Tell the Truth.. with Anthony Anderson as the host .. is hysterical
The Pyramid Game Show with host Michael Strahan

Then this year they have brought back
Press Your Luck .. with the whammy which seems to be a big hit
and Card Sharks with Joel McHale which also seems to be a big hit with viewers

Not all Game shows stand the test of time..  but I think pretty much everyone enjoys playing along with the contestants..I know that I do..

Some new "Game Shows" have been introduced.. and while again some may make it to become big hits.. most however fail.. Here are some of the new ones I think will stand the test of time..

Ellen DeGeneres GAME of GAMES .. LOVE IT .. and besides everything Ellen touches turns to gold.. She is incredibly funny and the games are hilarious..

Mental Samurai host Rob Lowe.. I kinda enjoy the show simply because it does take quick thinking and once your out your out..

The Wall came out in 2016 but to be honest I never really enjoyed it that much .. but the new game show "Spin the Wheel" with Dax Shephard  looks to be a real winner although it just started .. Dax is hilarious and the spinning of the wheel looks to let contestants win more than any other game show released.. but LUCK can only last so long before you could lose it all..Definitely will keep watching this one..

while I can't possibly name them all.. these are the ones I am presently watching.. Let me know what you think..

New Superhero Films

Dark Phoenix 2019 (X-Men: Dark Phoenix) - is a superhero film based on the Marvel Comics X-Men.. and the 12th installment in the X-Men film franchise..  and a sequel to the X-Men Apocalypse 2016 film.. The movie features an ensemble cast including that of Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, and Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark from Game of Thrones).. In the movie..the X-Men are called into space to assist in a recovery mission and Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) absorbs what looks to be a solar flare into her body.. which amplifies her psychic powers..  Leaving Jean Grey unable to control the "dark" power growing within her..

Although I was a little taken back by seeing Sansa Stark from Game of Thrones so soon after the GOT final episode.. I loved the movie "Dark Phoenix".. the movie is packed full of gripping action and a fantastic storyline.. I also felt like Sophie Turner "Jean Grey" did an outstanding job.. and it even felt as though a little of Sansa Stark's presence came through in Dark Phoenix.. Truly an amazing superhero film.. and a definite must watch for all GOT and Superhero fans..
 

More New Films

The Intruder 2019  - is a psychological thriller film which stars Michael Ealy and Meagan Good as Scott and Annie Howard, a couple who buy a country house only to realize the previous owner Charlie Peck (Dennis Quaid) is a extremely weird guy who seems set on keeping some kind of creepy eye on (his) home.. Wait didn't he sell it to them?.. I couldn't help but question the numerous crazy "I seen that coming" moments in the film.. after all normally when you buy a home the creepy previous owner doesn't show up on your doorstep at every turn.. However even I didn't foresee the ending..  Overall I loved the film, even though the film met with mixed reviews.. .. in my opinion it was beyond creepy.. and I even got to see one of my favorite actors from the TV show "Power"..  A definite must see thriller..


Men in Black: International 2019 - is a sci-fi action comedy .. and a spin off of the original Men in Black film franchise..  After the events in Men in Black 3 London created its own branch of MIB ..and Molly Wright (Tessa Thompson) joins MIB as Agent M.   High T (played by Liam Neeson) pairs her with Agent H.. (Chris Hemsworth) .. however the two are quickly involved in a series of alien attacks that send them around the world .. searching for an enemy that threatens the entire galaxy..

I have to admit the movie met with mixed reviews.. and it definitely does not possess the dynamic duo of Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.. although it does have some of the same aesthetics (special effects).. in my opinion it just doesn't hit the mark as that of the original film franchise.. but very few sequels or spin offs are ever equal to the original films..  Overall I found MIB International to be funny and enjoyable to watch..  The pair doesn't share the amazing chemistry that Jones and Smith did in years past but I think the director and other powers that be who made the movie..  tried to focus on this film being a modern spin off of the original franchise.. Rocketman 2019 - is a truly epic biographical musical fantasy film based on the life of musician Elton John.. and stars Taron Egerton as Elton John.. The movie follows John's early years as a prodigy at the Royal Academy of Music to his long standing musical partnership with Bernie Taupin.. The film is titled after Elton's 1972 song "Rocket Man"..  Elton John was born in 1947 as Reginald "Reggie" Dwight to his parents Sheila and Stanley..  Unfortunately the film shows the emotional detachment between him and his mother .. as well as his father who eventually abandons the family after Sheila has an affair.. Reggie who has been studying piano takes an interest in rock music and begins to perform in local pubs before joining a band.. I can't possibly explain how engrossing this film is.. as well as insightful, heart-breaking and gripping.. I loved it.. The film is a musical and highlights Elton's songs over the years as well as his troubles with addiction and finding love..  Simply an Amazing Film..and definitely worth watching.. Trailer


Ma 2019 - is a psychological thriller that follows a group of teenagers who after asking Sue Ann Ellington (Octavia Spencer) a middle aged woman to buy alcohol for them ..  gets more than they bargained for when she starts allowing them to party in her basement..  The movie is disturbingly twisted.. and just plain creepy..   


Godzilla: King of the Monsters 2019 - is an American monster movie and a sequel to Godzilla 2014 film..  In the film, members of the cryto-zoological agency Monarch as they face off against a battery of apocalyptic monstrous creatures including Mothra, Rodan and King Ghidorah.. However fortunately the mighty Godzilla is on humanity's side and fights the other super species in a battle for supremacy and dominance.. The film is jam packed with action from start to finish.. and very reminiscent of the Japanese sci-fi Godzilla films..  I was hoping for better visual effects but overall it is a definite must see especially if you use to watch as a child the old Japanese Godzilla films on Saturday mornings..  Trailer


Hotel Mumbai 2019  - is a biographical, action film and inspired by the 2009 documentary Surviving Mumbai about the Mumbai terrorist attacks in 2008 including the attack at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in India.. as members of Lashkar-e-Taiba stormed the Taj Mahal in a series of coordinated attacks throughout the city .. As chaos ensued with gunfire and mayhem ..the film focuses on a brave chef and kitchen worker who decided to risk their own lives to try and protect their frightened guests.. and a young family trying to do whatever it takes to make it back to their newborn baby.. even as militants continue their assault on the hotel.. killing everyone in their path.. Amazing courage was shown during the attack and I highly recommend this film ..as it is astounding, highly brutal yet inspiring to watch.. A truly gripping film ..
