A few more series I am presently watching ..

Outlander 2014 - This is a Starz series and definitely a series I find exceptional. The story follows Claire Randall Fraser and Jamie Fraser love story throughout the years.

Season 1 - Shows how WWII nurse Claire Randall and her husband Frank Randall are visiting Scotland when she travels through the stones to the 18th century.  Out of necessity she is married to Jamie Fraser a Highlander clansmen but soon they both fall deeply in love with one another. The clan being pursued by the British redcoats and Claire is soon deemed a healer. The season ends with Jamie being captured and tortured by a sadistic British Officer.  I will say that after watching the first season I was hooked and have not missed one episode since.

Season 2 - Without giving too many details away Claire and Jamie have traveled to France and the British officer makes an appearance but Claire convinces Jamie not to kill him until Frank Randall's ancestry can be assured. During this time Claire loses a baby and they set sail to return to Scotland, however after Jamie learns of her 2nd pregnancy he convinces her to return through the stones before the Battle of Culloden a fight that the Highlanders are in history destined to lose. After returning to the 20th century, she finds herself agreeing to raise the baby with Frank.

Season 3 - During this season you learn that Jamie was gravely injured at Culloden but was spared execution and imprisoned. He befriends the Governor who later paroles him to work at an English estate where Jamie fathers a son. Later Jamie leaves to return to Scotland and becomes a printer. After 20 years pass Claire has now become a doctor, Frank has died and she finds out during a visit to Scotland with Brianna and vows to return to him. It is hard to explain all the details but after Claire returns to find Jamie married to a widow woman however upon her return it nullifies the marriage. The two end up chasing after Jamie's nephew Ian traveling through the Caribbean and ending up shipwrecked in the Americas.

Season 4 - Has just started but they have have already traveled to North Carolina and visited Jamie's aunt on a plantation were slavery is sadly witnessed. They decide to travel north, where they end up claiming a piece of land called Fraser's Ridge and making it their home. While not trying to give too much away they settled tensions with their neighbors the Cherokees, Jamie was able to see his son as he traveled through with the Governor, and Jamie found his old friend Murtagh. Meanwhile after turning down Roger's marriage proposal Brianna finds out that both her mother and dad are doomed to die in a fire and goes to travel through the stones to warn them.  After finding out that Brianna has gone to the stones he decides to follow her into the past. Season 4 is not yet over however I can say so far Brianna has arrived and Roger finally found her but I will not say more.  I will say that this is an absolutely wonderful series and one that is definitely full of drama and tragic events. Please watch and let me know if you enjoy it as much as I have.

Season 5 is now streaming and I love this show.. can't say enough.. Please watch it and feel free to let me know what you think

Homeland  is an American terrorism spy thriller drama that premiered in 2011. (Wow that was a mouthful .. but it is).. Homeland is everything you would want in a politics based fight on terrorism thriller series that shows how people risk their lives hunting down terrorist abroad and domestic.

All though the series focuses on a covert CIA operative (played by Claire Danes) who is bipolar. The show does touch upon many of the issues facing this country, and although this is series of fiction it is gripping and has an exceptional cast.  I have read that the 8th season will be its last and will start in June 2019.  Trust me this series is a must see, and I will be sad to see it end..
Homeland is in the midst of another season.. and I just can't say enough everyone should be watching this show..

Little Fires Everywhere is a 2020 Hulu drama mini series based on a 2017 book by the same name by Celeste Ng.. The series stars Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington.. and is set during the 1990s in Shaker Heights Ohio.. While the series is new and I have just started watching ( Witherspoon ) plays much the same character as in Big Little Lies.. a well to do woman with a family who has regrets of what she may have missed out of in life.. her children while seemingly popular in the community have issues themselves and after renting one of the families properties to what looks to be a struggling single mother with a teenage daughter.. secrets seem to come into view by both families.. So far this series is a winner and I hope it will be renewed after the first season ends..  I truly love it and highly recommend it..

So I have been sick .. my apologies..

However in the midst of this pandemic you know my TV watching has ramped up ..

Here is just some of what I have been watching lately..

Picard.. CBS is set at the end of the 24th century  and many years after the events of Star Trek Nemesis.. Patrick Stewart reprises his role of Jean Luc Picard.. a retired admiral who after the loss of his friend LT commander Data searches for his offspring .. Although this series is again very new .. I have to admit my heart jumped at being able to see another Star Trek series introduced .. so far I love it.. definitely a series for all Star Trek fans..  and hopefully will introduce Star Trek to many new viewers..

Tommy .. CBS Abigail "Tommy" Thomas (Edie Falco) is the first female police chief in LA.. and a former NYPD officer .. although this series is still new Falco is one of my favorite actresses playing a nurse addicted to narcotics in Nurse Jackie..  In this series however she plays a honest hard-hitting officer who is met with resistance at every turn..  LOVE IT so far .. and definitely a series worth watching..

Deputy 2020 is a updated western like crime drama series on Fox..  The premise of the show surrounds a deputy that is sworn in as sheriff after a untimely death.. Not only does he accept the position as sheriff but vows to change the system and cut through the red tape issues that seem to bog down the sheriff and his deputies.. along with his agenda to corral crime putting an end to lawlessness..

Old loves such as

Grey's Anatomy - Medical drama (based out of a fictional Seattle hospital) that first premiered in 2005.  I know medical TV shows are not everyone's cup of tea, however for me and most of the people I know they are very engaging and quickly draw the viewer's attention.. They usually contain severe medical conditions that many people will either identify with in some way or will cause the viewer to feel a real concern about what the outcome will ultimately be (at times you may end up sitting on the edge of your seat to see if someone lives or dies).

This is Us 2016 - is a NBC comedy drama series that follows on the lives and families of two parents and their three children.. The show features an exceptional cast that includes Milo Ventimiglia, Sterling K.Brown, Mandy Moore, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Susan Kelechi Watson, Chris Sullivan, as well as many others..  I love this show and I am definitely not the only one.. from the first episode it has become a big hit with viewers.. Each episode is like a roller coaster ride.. making you laugh, tugging at your heart, bringing you to tears, as well as holding your breath.. I love this show and know you will too.. Truly outstanding and amazing.. A definite must see show

The Kardashians "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" 2007 - is a reality TV series that focuses on the personal and professional lives of the Kardashian-Jenner blended family.. The series mainly focuses on the sisters Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian along with Kendall and Kylie Jenner.. However it also features their brother Rob Kardashian, mother Kris Kardashian Jenner,  Kendall and Kylie Jenner's father Bruce (Caitlyn Jenner) .. as well as now that all of the girls are grown their respected relationships the show features them as well.. Koutney's ex husband Scott Disick.. Kim's husband Kanye West, Khloe's ex fiance' Tristan Thompson.. Kylie's fiance' Travis Scott ..along with other friends and extended family appearances through the years..

The Kardashian family from the beginning of the series has literally grown before our eyes.. and all the girls but Kendall now have children of their own.. The series charm lies in the fact that it shows the good, bad and ugly of the dynamics of the family.. The ability to see all of their highs and lows play out through their show is part of why viewers love it..

Law and Order - SVU premiered in 1999.  SVU (Special Victims Unit) is a spinoff of the original Law and Order series.  The intention of the show is to highlight cases based on the sex crimes bureau which is a unit that focuses on sexually based offenses, as well as crimes against children.  In my opinion SVU is not the typical police drama it deals with very sensitive subject and the cast of the show is outstanding.  I binge watch SVU even when I think I have seen every episode out there.. which shows how much I enjoy this show.

Station 19 -  Is not the typical fire station show.. I first started watching it because one of the Grey's Anatomy people became a firefighter Dr Ben Warren ( who is married to Dr. Miranda Bailey ).. and was on the show.. however it has been a great spin off series.. with plenty of ties to Grey's Anatomy and I can't say enough about it..

Shark Tank 2009 - is a reality TV show that allows entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas to a panel of  investors (sharks) who if interested can invest their own money in their ideas.  I love this show and just like other viewers watch it regularly to see what new products and ideas could be the next big thing..  I think overall a lot of people think I wish I had thought of that.. at least I know I do..

A Million Little Things 2018 - is a ABC drama series that focuses on a tight group of friends that are completely shocked after a member of the group commits suicide unexpectedly.. After the series starts you soon realize the man was not only a family man but the glue that held the group together.. the others in the group consist of the deceased wife with a secret.. a single man who is a breast cancer survivor.. a musician father with marital problems, his wife who is doing her best to juggle her career as an attorney, parenting and her marriage.. a married man who has had some difficulty finding his way in life.. his culinary chef wife who dreams of opening her own restaurant.. and the new member of the group that is a therapist and becomes the cancer survivors love interest.. In the show each of them realize that they have to now learn to go on with their lives and lean on each other .. but all of them are struggling to figure out why their friend committed suicide..

Sister Wives 2010- present TLC .. is a series based on the life of a polygamist family.. The Browns which consist of Kody Brown and his four wives (Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn) and 18 children.. In the beginning The Browns were living in Lehi Utah but moved to Las Vegas Nevada in 2011.. and in 2018 to Baderville, Arizona... The show is very insightful, enjoyable and at times funny.. because it does give a glimpse into this alternative lifestyle, yet a lifestyle features normal issues that anyone can have.. no matter what kind of relationship they might be in.. I love watching it..  and even though there are other shows of this type..  Sister Wives is my favorite..

60 Days In 2016 - is a A&E series .. The show centers around volunteers going undercover as incarcerated inmates in order to improve and provide information that may help the Dept of Corrections.. (including drug availability, gangs, weapons, as well as any correction officer and facility operation flaws.. I have to say I really enjoy this show.. I think while some of the volunteers do quite well and serve a valuable purpose .. giving insightful feedback that may actually benefit not one correctional facility but possibly others.. On the other hand.. some volunteers sadly show us the total flip side of who should be picked for this kind of docuseries .. which I believe can often look as though it is done purposeful in order to achieve higher ratings.. After all having volunteers that from Day 1 show ignorance and disregard for the process as well as quite possibly putting themselves if not other in danger is complete carelessness.. I don't blame the correctional personnel that look as if they are truly attempting to get feedback on their facility.. but I do think once a participant enters the process and is viewed showing inappropriate and possibly compromising behavior I think they should be promptly removed from the facility and in turn the show.. I have to admit the latest season is my one of my favorites..

Love after Lockup 2018-present .. is a reality show however I use the word reality loosely.. The couples supposedly meet their potential future spouses for the first time once the inmates are released from incarceration.. which leads to strong emotions, frequent bumps in the road.. after all these inmates are just tasting freedom for the first time in a long time .. Love after Lockup is definitely over the top.. especially since you will often find yourself thinking what in the world are these people doing.. don't be so gullible.. However I have to admit.. people are only human and unfortunately I have made far to many mistakes in life to be throwing stones.. I only started watching this show so I am in Season 2..but I have enjoyed it.. and it definitely keeps your attention.. the latest season has just ended but this show is truly entertaining.. as it highlights the lack of common sense in  people that hook up with convicts while they are in prison.. in hopes of finding love.. look I get it if you knew them before they got in trouble.. but is anyone truly that desperate to find love.. and don't you realize anyone that is in prison will do almost anything to have someone on the outside to come to .. who will put money for them on their books and who they can manipulate...

it is sad.. and even the convicts that seem like they have good intentions.. are suspect.. I myself have been around people that have had run ins with the law and they have told me to my face that they will use anyone to get what they need in life.. and I have seen it with my own eyes.. and I also have fallen victim to it.. that is why I have such a negative view on anyone that allows themselves to become easy marks.. trust me it is a hard lesson to learn

More TV Shows

1.  Ted Bundy Falling for a Killer.. The only thing I want to say is that I love series that explore the infamous crimes and the people that surround them..

This series is based on the women that Ted Bundy had a relationship with.. his long time girlfriend Elizabeth Kendall and her daughter Molly along with survivors .. the series reflects on the trauma that they faced at his hands and the psychology behind his hatred of women..

I also highly recommend the recent 20/20 show highlighting Ted Bundy.. Season 41 Episode 24 titled Bundy..

2.  Hunters .. Although Hunters is a new series that I have just started .. I highly recommend it .. it stars Al Pacino one of my favorite actors..  The Amazon series is about a group of vigilantes who take justice into their own hands.. seeking out Nazis living in 70s America.. striking back for the Holocaust.. the series is also supposed to be based on true events.. because at one time there were Nazi hunters that actively sought out Nazi who scattered after the war..  I really can't offer more information as of yet.. since the series is so new.. but I am hopeful that it will be a good one..

5.  Fortunate Son.. is a espionage drama series and follows an American activist family who after being chased into Canada by the FBI .. the mother decides to help smuggle draft dodgers and war deserters across the border to escape the Vietnam War.. The series is based on the experiences of Mary Cox the mother of co executive producer Tom Cox ..who helped American draft dodgers cross the border into Canada during the Vietnam War.. although the series is new it looks highly interesting..

6.  The Pharmacist  ..Netflix.. another newly released series.. is about a small town pharmacist Dan Schneider who embarks on a crusade to strike back at the nation's opioid epidemic after losing his son in a drug related shooting.. it is a TV crime documentary ..highlighting giant pharmaceutical companies that because of their greed .. have blanketed America with narcotics..  However I must confess my views are that even though they marketed their products to doctors .. my belief has always been that the real culprit in the opioid crisis still lands on the shoulders of prescribers that didn't monitor the amount of narcotics that were given to patients.. doctor shopping and ultimately the drug addicts themselves.. after all people that are not addicts don't take narcotics to get high but instead use them responsibly..

I know I haven't been posting and I am truly sorry for that.. but I have been intensely busy.. I must confess my new grandson was born .. and I had a truly busy appointment schedule in January..

Shows I am watching.. that are must see shows everyone should see

1.  Homeland .. just started it's last season to which I have to admit just from what I have seen looks to be amazing

Note  .. Other dramas with similar content worth mentioning are Blacklist and the NCIS, both equally entertaining.

2.  For Life.. 2020 -  is a new ABC legal drama series..  The series is based on the true story of Isaac Wright Jr.. who was imprisoned for a crime that he didn't commit and while incarcerated became a licensed attorney..  Attorney Wright helped to overturn approximately twenty inmates who were wrongfully convicted.. before finally proving his own innocence.. Oddly enough Power another crime series I dearly loved which had been produced by rapper Curtis "50 cent" Jackson.. is now behind this series..

I love the series and definitely look for it to be a real hit for ABC...

TV worth watching

Many of you are asking what am I watching now..

So I will try and catch you up on not only what I am watching but TV shows that definitely deserve your attention

1.  Again Servant is a new thriller series that is definitely eye catching from the start.. and is about to finish up its first season.. definitely binge worthy

NOTE .. the end answered a lot of questions.. LOVED IT.. a must watch series and one I am certain will have a season two..

Servant 2019  is a psychological horror series for Apple TV.. and has already been sighted to be renewed for a second season.. I can honestly say this series reminds me of American Horror Story in a way.. It is scary and yet engrossing from start to finish.. a thriller that has just the right amount of creepiness.. The series starts out with a couple who after suffering a traumatic loss of a infant.. is awaiting the arrival of a nanny for their reborn baby doll.. that the wife has seemingly adopted as her own child.. in order to survive the loss .. extremely sad.. and yet within just a short time the nanny (servant) appears to have performed some sort of voodoo ..  I definitely don't want to say anymore.. Just watch this wickedly chilling series.. and let me know what you think.. Trailer

2.  Power is finishing up its last season on air.. and with a bang.. this series captured my attention right from the start.. and I hate to see it go .. but if you have not seen it yet.. you have to binge watch it..

Note: Power finished up its last season and even though it .. left an opening for a followup series to which I hope eventually happens.. since Tommy and a few other characters made it out alive.. However I didn't really like the rushed ending.. and felt it deserved a much better send off..

Power - American Crime Drama premiered on Starz in 2014, and is a series still going strong .. but why wouldn't it with an amazing cast and drug dealing storyline.  I will be honest I was hooked on this series from the first episode.. This show is dynamic in just about every facet .. while drug dealing is the backdrop it draws you in as being really human.. the pull of wanting to break free from crime and yet doing what is right isn't always easy .. and how growing up on the streets and making it is hard.. I can't describe how jaw dropping and enticing the story is .. and how the struggles and pain the main characters have to endure through the years .. but this series is gripping just doesn't do it justice.. I am not black but I see it as being a series that anyone can identify with .. life and marriage is tough and not everyone will have your back.. as well as dreams are hard to achieve.. Just watch it and judge for yourself.. I will warn this is hard-hitting but the overall storyline will keep you watching and the cast is superb..

3.  Another thriller series that I have immersed myself in ..is EVIL.. its definitely more than just the typical thriller series.. and one well worth watching ..EVIL is now finishing up its first season..

New Show  Evil  2019   Skeptical female psychologist (Kristen Bouchard) teams up with (David Acosta) a Catholic priest in training along with a blue collar contractor to investigate unexplained mysteries, miracles, and demonic possessions.. This show looks to be amazing..

4.   Dracula 2020  is a new thriller series based on the novel of the same name by Bram Stoker.. The Netflix series consists of three episodes .. and follows the tale of Count Dracula from his castle to the new world.. Interesting and updated.. as well as riveting.. A must see series..  Trailer

5. While the series is just starting looks to be a big hit.. Definitely a must see series..
Trailer

6.  You Season 2 - The Netflix psychological thriller series just ended its second season.. .. with Victoria Pedretti playing the role of Love Quinn.. and James Scully as Forty Quinn Love's brother..
I can't even put into words how great the new season turned out to be .. even more engaging than season one.. Definitely a binge worthy series.. leaving you breathless to hear when season three will drop..

Honorable Mention

20/20 ..has really done a great job recently.. featuring some of the most talked about crimes ..giving in depth updates  .. If you haven't seen the show lately you should definitely binge watch all their recent captivating shows..

20/20  ABC - is a hard hitting prime time news program.. with co-anchors Amy Robach and David Muir.. The show features everything from investigative reports to in-depth interviews.. It is hard to put into words how insightful this show is.. I just know I love it and have watched it faithfully over the years except for when I was overseas with the US Armed Forces..

Jeopardy .. has been on air for what feels like an eternity .. however I am putting the show under honorable mention because.. the Greatest of All Time Jeopardy Showdown is on right now..
and truly it is exceptional and worthy of watching for sure..    The "GOAT Jeopardy Showdown" features the three highest money winners in Jeopardy history: Ken Jennings, Brad Rutter and James Holzhauer. I have to admit while I know of Ken Jennings and of course James Holzhauer.. I was not aware of Brad's back story on Jeopardy.. can't wait to see who wins the million dollar prize..

More Movies..

Jexi 2019  is a romantic comedy starring Adam DeVine..   The film follows this socially inept guy.. and his overly dramatic AI phone.. The film is hilariously funny .. especially since I have watched through the years so many people become weirdly obsessed with social media .. and their phones Literally taking everything from snapshots of their food ..  and filtering almost every pic they take Along with keeping everyone aware of almost every aspect of their lives.. ( by the way I am not this person ) Yes.. I love movies .. TV .. POGO.. and of course writing articles and reviews.. I am definitely not glued to my phone.. To be honest I only recently got my first smart phone and that was only because I knew I needed to finally upgrade.. The film Jexi however was really hysterical.. Trailer
