Best TV Reality Shows.. Watch Worthy Anytime

Let me first say I have these TV Reality Series in NO PARTICULAR ORDER..  I just wanted to share some of my particular favorites as to what are binge worthy series ..

1.   The Kardashians "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" 2007 - is a reality TV series that focuses on the personal and professional lives of the Kardashian-Jenner blended family.. The series mainly focuses on the sisters Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian along with Kendall and Kylie Jenner.. However it also features their brother Rob Kardashian, mother Kris Kardashian Jenner,  Kendall and Kylie Jenner's father Bruce (Caitlyn Jenner) .. as well as now that all of the girls are grown their respected relationships the show features them as well.. Koutney's ex husband Scott Disick.. Kim's husband Kanye West, Khloe's ex fiance' Tristan Thompson.. Kylie's fiance' Travis Scott ..along with other friends and extended family appearances through the years..

The Kardashian family from the beginning of the series has literally grown before our eyes.. and all the girls but Kendall now have children of their own.. The series charm lies in the fact that it shows the good, bad and ugly of the dynamics of the family.. The ability to see all of their highs and lows play out through their show is part of why viewers love it..

2.   Shark Tank 2009 - is a reality TV show that allows entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas to a panel of  investors (sharks) who if interested can invest their own money in their ideas.  I love this show and just like other viewers watch it regularly to see what new products and ideas could be the next big thing..  I think overall a lot of people think I wish I had thought of that.. at least I know I do..

3.   The Voice 2011 - is a singing competition show.  The show like the name is based on contestants that are picked by professional artists solely by their vocal ability.  If more than one professional artist is interested the contestants get to decide which artist they would like to work with.  Over the course of the show the contestants go through a process in order to eventually advance into the live performance phase in which the viewers are allowed to vote.  Almost everyone I know loves this show and a version of The Voice is in almost every country in the world.  Personally I love the blind auditions and seeing the contestants face when they get the attention of the professional artists.

4.   Dancing with the Stars 2005 - is a yearly dance competition show.  The show invites celebrities from all genres to come on the show and with the help of a professional dancer learns to dance (shake a tail feather) to win the mirror ball trophy.  Everyone I know tries ( just like myself )  to watch every episode when it comes on and vote on the dancers. I know the show has been on for years but it still has a huge viewer following.. Viewers love to see which celebrities can excel at learning ballroom or who actually has two left feet.

5.   America's Got Talent 2006 - is a reality show that allows contestants from all walks of life, genres, ages, and countries to compete against each other to win a cash prize and the ability to headline a show in Las Vegas.  I can honestly say I watch the show more so to see the variety of the acts, because you see everything from sword swallowing, singers, dancers, and comedians along with every other thing you can imagine.. I really love judges ( Mel B, Howie, Simon, and Heidi ) but have to say I miss Nick Cannon I think he was the best presenter.

6.    So You Think You Can Dance 2005 - is a dance competition show that airs yearly.  The show is broken into basically three parts, the open auditions..that take place everywhere around the US and then the academy were they push the dancers in all genres and do cuts as needed until they have the best of the dancers for the live TV show.  Than the live dancers are cut based on the judges and viewing audience.  I love this show and think it is one of the best competition shows at the present time

7.   The Real World (Real World)  1992 - is a reality TV series on MTV..  was originally inspired by the 1973 PBS series titled "An American Family" .. and was one of the reality shows that is being credited with spawning the reality TV phenomenon of today..  The series focuses on young adults picked to live in a new city together ..while every aspect of their lives are filmed non-stop..  In the beginning the series was hailed for showing issues with sexuality..AIDS, substance abuse.. and other dynamics of what today's young adults are dealing with.. however the show has also met with mixed reviews for showing irresponsible behavior and the decline of morality in today's youth..

I must admit I did watch it religiously during the early years.. but overtime I have to agree the excessive immaturity issues and over the top personalities started to get to me.. so I don't watch it like I once did..

8.   Deadliest Catch 2005 -  is a documentary series on Discovery Channel.. The series focuses on the real life events aboard Bering Sea fishing vessels.. during the Alaskan king, opilio and bairdi crab fishing seasons..  The Port of Dutch Harbor Alaska ..(Aleutian Islands) is the base of operations for the fishing fleet.. The series takes it's name from the high risk work that every hand on board the vessels must face every time they go out..  Many people that I know watch this series religiously.. while not having watched every season .. from start to finish.. I do think the show does a great job at showing the sacrifice and dangers every individual on the vessels face in order to earn a living..  The series is gripping and keeps you on the edge of your seat ..from start to finish..

Honorable Mention...

Ice Road Truckers (commercially abbreviated IRT) 2007 - 2017 - was a reality series on the History Channel .. The series focused on the activities of operators who drove semi-trucks on seasonal routes crossing frozen lakes and rivers in remote Arctic territories (Alaska and Canada) .. including dangerous routes known as the Dalton Highway.. an ice and snow covered solid ground.. However the newer seasons mainly focused on routes in Manitoba..  and in freezing temperatures these truckers not only met with route hazards but at times had to deal with mechanical issues with their rigs.. The series was hypnotizing and riveting from start to finish.. You tend to get invested in the drivers ..

IRT spawned the series IRT Deadliest Roads.. 2010-2011  which featured some of the truckers as they tackled some of the most deadliest roads in the world.. including the extremely dangerous mountain roads of the Himalayas in India as well as the South America's Andes Mountains..  which I have to admit were in some ways more challenging because they were met with much more mechanical issues as they dealt with much older equipment.. as well as gut wrenching roads that literally were so narrow they were horrifying..

I watched both of these series and truly enjoyed them both..
