More Outstanding Kids Movies.. and let me just say I don't think I am the only parent that loves kid movies..

1. Kubo and the Two Strings 2016 - is an animated action fantasy film and is based on Kubo a young boy who with his Japanese guitar, snow monkey and beetle must find his mother's corrupted sisters and his grandfather who stole his left eye as a child..  Kubo takes care of his mother who is ill and  because of her sickness is unable to help Kubo with his quest to know more about his deceased father.. The film is full of excitement and holds your attention throughout the film.. a definite must see for the whole family..

2. Mowgli Legend of the Jungle 2018 - is an adventure drama film based on All the Mowgli Stories (short story collection) by Rudyard Kipling. In my opinion this movie is truly captivating in visual effects..  and offers a modern darker version of the Jungle Book tale that is more riveting for the viewer.  The film features of course Shere Khan who kills Mowgli's parents and Bagheera the panther who rescued Mowgli who delivers him to a family of wolves.  The wolf pack than votes to protect him along with Bagheera and Baloo a brown bear.. As Mowgli grows he starts to learn more and more about his limitations as he is not a wolf and not yet a man.. and there are many twists and turns in the story showing the conflict Mowgli has to endure.. while this film had mixed reviews I loved this version.. A must see movie for the whole family..

It is worth mentioning that while Mowgli Legend of the Jungle is the latest adaptation film, however there are several others .. Honorable Mention include..

3. Ballerina 2016 French version, released as Leap 2017 US version - is a computer animated musical film and is based on an orphan girl who dreams of becoming a ballerina .. and after running away from the orphanage with her best friend.. She makes it to Paris where after becoming friends with a cleaner she.. trouble ensues and eventually she unfortunately decides to assume the identity of another little girl in order to audition for the Paris Opera Ballet and the coveted ballet school .. the film has many twists and turns but ultimately the little ballerina displays how true passion for dance prevails.. This film is a little girl's dream in more way than one.. as I know my grand-daughter was truly engrossed in every word and movement.. We saw the English subtitle version and Loved it ..
I know the 2017 US version title Leap is said to have some mixed reviews..

4. Ferdinand 2017 - is a animated adventure comedy drama movie based on a children's book titled The story of Ferdinand.. it follows a gentle bull calf named Ferdinand who is made fun of by his fellow calves for being non confrontational.  Ferdinand also loves to smell flowers.. After his father doesn't return from a bullfight he runs away eventually ending up on a flower farm.. The owner's daughter and him become friends and Ferdinand loves his new home .. But once grown they have no choice due to his size but to leave Ferdinand home when they leave for a annual flower festival.. Ferdinand decides to go anyway and after getting stung by a bee he unintentionally causes chaos in the town and is taken away .. However once back at his childhood home he sees that his friends have all grown up as well.. and while he looks for a way to escape his friends hope to be picked for the bullfighting ring.. This movie is filled with comedy, drama and heartbreak but it is also extremely charming.. My whole family loved it.. and one for all ages..

5. COCO 2017 - is a Walt Disney and Pixar animated fantasy movie.. and based on a little boy named Miguel who is accidentally transported to the Land of the Dead.. where he seeks help from his dead great great grandfather to return him to the living and his family.. Little Miguel dreams of being a musician but his family has forbid it.. .all I can say is loved it..
